How to Use

  1. Enter your box's internal dimensions (length, width, height) and the thickness of the material you'll be using.
  2. Click "Generate Drawing" to see the panel layout in the preview.
  3. Download as SVG or DXF and import into your laser cutting software (LightBurn, CorelDraw, Illustrator, etc.).
  4. All 6 panels (Bottom, Top, Front, Back, Left, Right) are fully finger-jointed — no glue required anywhere. But be aware: once closed, this box can't be reopened without breaking it — it's not a reusable storage box, it's meant for permanently sealed items (gift boxes, sealed packaging, etc.). If you need a reopenable box, use the Open Box tool.
  5. Assembly order: join the 5 panels (Bottom, Front, Back, Left, Right) first, then close and lock the Top panel last.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the closed box and the open box?

The open box has no lid and can be opened and closed freely. The closed box has finger joints on every side including the top, so it locks fully shut and can't be reopened without breaking it — suited to gift boxes or sealed packaging.

Can this box be reopened?

No, once assembled the closed box design can't be taken apart without breaking a joint. If you need a reusable, reopenable box, use the Open Box tool instead.

What order should I assemble it in?

Join the 5 panels (Bottom, Front, Back, Left, Right) first, then close and lock the Top panel last. The top should always go on last.
